Bald Head Island Fishing Report

Filed under: Uncategorized — Reel Adventure @ 6:50 pm

Had a good day today. Battled the wind early on and it lied out nicely as the day progressed. We had non stop action all day and we ended up with 12 red drum and a few trout. All the drum were undersized but lots of fun on light tackle. This action will stay strong all winter. And there are bigger fish around!!

Isla Blanca Tarpon Video with Reel Adventure Charters

Filed under: Fishing Reports — Reel Adventure @ 7:54 pm

Late getting this report out…..Fished 2 days in Isla Blanca Mexico for second year in a row and had another great time. Below is the video, it is pretty good but I would have had alot better footage on the second day if the battery on the HD cam didnt expire.

Here is the video: ISLA BLANCA TARPON FISHING VIDEO  Fished 2 days with Capt. Enrique and had a blast.  Caught around 20 Tarpon in 2 days. Everything on fly. Windy, as hurricane just passed but, he took us into some crazy places with that panga. We would go (push and pull our way through moving the branches and limbs) through mangrove holes not even big enough to fit the boat for about 1/8 mile and pop out into a small lagoon to get out of the wind. Used alot of tarpon toads and gurglers. Good times!

Locally the Wrightsville Beach Fishing Charters and Carolina Beach Fishing Charters are going great when the wind allows us to get out! Come enjoy the cool weather and our fall fishing!

Fishing with the Knier’s

Filed under: Fishing Reports — Reel Adventure @ 11:46 am

Had longtime and repeat customers, the Knier family onboard today for a half day. We dodged the thunder showers and had a steady pick of Spanish Mackerel near the inlet. We ended up with 15 to 18 fish with 13 keepers. Lots of fun on light tackle. Thanks again guys!

Fishing with my father

Filed under: Fishing Reports — Reel Adventure @ 3:22 pm

Today was a fun scouting day with my father. It was flat calm and we found a few schools of albies right off the beach. It was good to see him pull on a fish again. Enjoy the pics.

Carolina Beach Fishing Report

Filed under: Fishing Reports — Reel Adventure @ 1:04 pm

Today I had repeat customers Mike and Rebecca Townsend on the boat to chase some Albacore. We had a great time and got a few nice fish in the boat. Lots of fun on light tackle and it’s always great to fish with them! One neat thing about today… We saw lots of tarpon, a big spotted eagle ray, and a small loggerhead turtle. I almost felt like a zoo tour director! Thanks again guys for the great day!
